Today David Bennett, MP for Hamilton East, visited our school with a very interesting proposition… he would like us to host (and grow!!) his future prize winning pumpkin! Every April the Hamilton Gardens puts on The Great Pumpkin Carnival which includes a pumpkin growing competition. Mr Bennett is entering next year and has asked us to provide a spot in our newly created school garden to grow and care for his pumpkin. As we all know, our senior school students take gardening very seriously and after their inquiry units on sustainable gardening this term, they are more than up to the challenge! Your pumpkin is in great hands Mr Bennett!
