For the past few days, learners at Silverdale Normal School have been fortunate enough to have the Real Art Roadshow parked up at our place. This MASSIVE truck contains incredible works of New Zealand art and a very knowledgable staff member who walked us through and helped us to look at art in ways we never have before. We learnt that art can be pretty much anything! Painting is just the beginning. Art can show us how another person sees the world and when different people look at it – it can make them feel different things. We are all so excited about launching into our Inquiry Unit later this term! Art is AWESOME!
